Post subject:  Greeting All

I don't like the funny faces -- pretend I'm smiling...

My name is Fred Eisenmann and I'm actually a MIIS programmer from the OLD days -- 1979-1985

I've just graduated from Chattahoochee Technical College in Georgia and now attempting to get a job in Java is like the never ending story. Then I thought of the Mumps User's Group from the OLD days.... Alas, it's still here and from what I've read up on, starting to thrive again with the advent of NoSQL database architecture.

I'm going through a transition here from MIIS to Mumps and it's a little harder with this 'M' stuff...

But, I'm learning and have a 4.0 GPA !! If anyone has some solid advise, please help..

In the mean time, I'll be studying -- HARD !

By the way, I eliminated 50% of my own job when I used to program MIIS for Dataphase Systems in Kansas City, MO [Library Systems] -- I used to love the speed at which I could accomplish everything -- 10 times the pace or greater... Does anyone know --> Is 'M' as powerful as MIIS -- more / less ??

Welcome...

MIIS and MUMPS are quite similar. I've never actually written in MIIS but have read up on it. I have written in many versions of MUMPS (or M if you *really* must).
