Hello

I work in a hospital in southern Brazil and we have a MSM Mumps system running on an AIX server with 720 licenses.
The system works with terminal and workstation connections. The problem is that every six days about the message "all login ports are in use (no user entry point)" when trying to connect via telnet on the MSM.
The only way to solve it by restarting the MSM. We believe it is some setting of MUMPS thar we don't know.

Someone have any idea?

Thanks,

Hi Marchelo

Im use a past MSM PC-Plus with TCP/IP client .
Only one tip : checking a TCP/IP "keep/alive" options , because this is to higher , then not disconnect the client IP sockets .

And question : AIX is a IBM Unix (Im working AS400/RS600 before 8 years ago...) , the TelNet service tuning on AIX ? Configuration file available ?
I Think this message : "all login ports are in use (no user entry point)" not a MSM error message , this is a Unix message . MSM checking only license limit , after Telnet service is loging a terminal . MSM error message only : "<LICENSE>" license limit exide ...

Josef
