Digital Equipment Corporation's DSM begat Intersystems Corporation's M/11, which begat M/11+, which begat M/SQL, which begat OpenM, which was then heavily influenced by Datatree MUMPS (DTM) and begat Cache. As far as I can tell Ensemble is the same language as Cache but with HL7 interfacing technologies folded in, which is not a bad idea. |
