Post subject:  About Spam Posts and Users

Dear Mumpsters,

I just spent an hour clearing away spam posts and users from Mumpster. There are still another twenty or so users I suspect of being spam users, but I don't yet have enough information to be sure.

I'm asking for your help in distinguishing who's who. What I need you to do for me, if you haven't already, is to fill in the registration fields Real Name and Location, and to start a thread in "Introductions and Profiles" introducing yourself. Aside from helping the other members of Mumpster learn who's who, it will also by process of elimination help me figure out which users to delete from the system.

Thank you for your help.

Yours truly,
Rick

I'm doing another purge of spam pseudo-users from Mumpster this morning, a deeper cleaning. If I inadvertently delete your account, I apologize; please recreate it, filling in Real Name and Location, and then introduce yourself in the Introductions forum so I know you're not a spambot.

Thanks, Steve. That looks like a good idea. Perhaps the Fourth Watch guys would care to review and let me know whether we can add that easily.
