Hi All,

I was surfing through the net for informatiion regaring VA VistA and found a site where they say that they can convert the Mumps Code to Java using some tools.

And also they have converted some modules of VistA into Java and successfully implemented it.

My question is are there any limitations in converting the Mumps code to Java..especially the date base mapping and all..??

Is this method effective?? The website is thesoftwarerevolution.com

Please let me know your valuable feedback.

How to make a java application run without a compiler? I wrote a java application of tetris which runs from a main method. In order to run it I have to use my compiler. How do I turn it into an application that I could put on my dock or that will open when I double click it (without the compiler)? I don't know if it makes a difference but I'm using a Mac.

Take a look at this site: www.mumps-migration.com/
The product is called JUMPS.
It converts Standard MUMPS code to Java and and Globals to any relational database such as Oracle using mapping tools. In the Vista case it can use FileMan definitions to automate the mapping process.
