If you are not interested in this lesson, simply skip it.

This diagram depicts a general chronological progression from top to bottom. It does not depict a relationship between MUMPS implementations.

I could go into great depth about each of the implementation but it would do nothing to further your knowledge of the language. Suffice it to say that there are only a few of them left today due to various reasons. Some current implementations available to the pubic are GT.M by Fidelity Information Systems, MUMPSV1 by Raymond Newman, M21 by M21 and Cache by Intersystems Inc. You may have your own favorite implementation. However, remember that it must conform to the 1995 standard to be useful in this course.
