:D I'm not a MUMPS programmer, yet, I've been involved with the DOD's CHCS system since 1996 as a system specialist II then a site Manager. I want to know more, specifically for writing retrievals. I now work for the VA, I was merged along with 500 or so of my Navy Civilian co-workers to Form the first ever Federal Health Care Center; the James A. Lovell FHCC located in North Chicago IL right next to the Navy's only Recruit Training Center Great Lakes RTC. http://www.northchicago.va.gov/

Welcome to Mumpster!

I hope the emerging classes in the weeks and months ahead will help you learn what you want to know. We're structuring the courses very differently than we did during our first two years. We'll be using a much more hands-on and incremental approach, in which we dispense with the lectures and focus on getting you writing code from day one and then increasing over time the complexity of what you can read and write. the first two years were too lecture-oriented, so I think you're lucky to be coming at this subject now rather than earlier.

Like the original MUMPS Users' Group, this is a self-help community designed to put all the resources at your disposal you need to teach yourself MUMPS, so please don't hesitate to get involved and ask questions. We don't bite. Much.
